Valía Is a realm hidden inside a little village just outside of Madrid, Spain. It’s a quiet and cozy place where supernatural beings of every species live together in harmony. Valia is ruled by a Phoenix Lord, as they are the most powerful supernatural beings to ever exist, and they’ve been in charge since the beginning of time. Each one ruled by a worthy successor, overthrown anytime someone’s abuses their power. They strive to keep the peace and keep the supernatural world from ripping each other apart, or the human world for that matter. It’s larger than most think with a harbor and a lighthouse sitting on the shore of a beautiful ocean called “O Mar de Antú” translating to “The Sea of Antú” and named after the very first Phoenix Lord Antú. A beautiful village with every shop your heart desires and the old mill is even still in service despite them having a new one across the town. The biggest farm in town is owned by an 800 year old Dragon shifter named Connor who happens to be the kings right hand man, and best friend since childhood. The Phoenix family have a beauty family mansion where the king has chosen to live instead of the castle. He hates the reminders the castle holds of his fathers treasonous past and thinks it’s too lavish, even for a king. It has a secret hidden waterfall that spills into a beautiful lagoon, and that alone holds more secrets than the king will ever tell you. The only ways in or out are through Malum’s passage, a rocky canyon that leads straight to a portal door that exists just inside the city of Madrid. Through the ocean on a ship, leading through another door that exists somewhere in the Mediterranean Sea, both of which are spelled so only supernatural beings can find them, keeping humans from stumbling into this world. Otherwise, you have to be able to open your own portal into the land. Valia is a safe haven for the Life Force Tree which is home to a special deity for the people and not a soul would dare try to harm it or they’d face a wrath so great they’d wish they’d never been born. Valía's way of life is open minded and kind, living a simpler type of life, but still up with modern times. It’s a sight to take in, especially if you’re new here. The king welcomes everyone, so long as you don’t threaten the peace.

Alexander is a multi-genre author. Writing mostly Romantasy, that learned to read a little later in life. With a love of books and writing, and a talent for such, he creates new worlds for you to get lost in.
Born and raised in West Hollywood California. When he isn’t writing you can find him at the beach, somewhere in nature or with the horses he raises on a ranch in southern California with his twin brother.
He is a huge advocate for mental health, especially men’s mental health, women’s rights, various cancers and all forms of vasculitis (an autoimmune disorder). Among so much more.
He believes in supporting children, and speaking out against abuse, as well as validating children’s emotions.
He makes friends easily, loves to laugh and enjoys making others laugh.

Phoenixes of Valia started as a random hobby to get me back into writing in 2017 and quickly turned into a whole series inside my head I had to share with the world. I never expected anyone to actually like it, and discovering so many did was a wonderful feeling. It’s encouraged me to continue writing and chasing this dream while I navigate a life I had to learn how to live again after becoming chronically ill in 2016 and facing the challenges that come with that.
Silent Struggles is based on real life events and meant to, hopefully, bring awareness to a serious, overlooked topic about men.

The author paints such a magical imagine telling the story of who Alex is and the world he is apart of. I got drawn into each detailed word written and felt like I was there. The connection he has with Amelia felt so real that it has made me long for my own Alex. The way he looks at her, how protective of her he is, and the way she opens his heart up to feeling something he has never felt before. It's truly amazing. Each character was written with such passion that you can picture them as you read. I cannot wait for the next adventure and what the future holds.

I loved book I and waited patiently for this book to be released. Once again, I was not disappointed. Alexander writes in a way that you can picture yourself being right there. His explanation of the characters, their backgrounds, their powers, is very detailed. The fantasy combined with the way he slides bdsm in makes it a page turner. I’ve tried to pace myself to make it last but it can’t be done. I finished it the second night.
Once again, excellent reading. I can’t wait for the next installment.

Silent Struggles is a sad and emotional read, yet it is strong in the portrayal of each emotion. A glimpse at trauma and abuse, past and present, as Nicholas comes to terms with that which took place in the past and dealing with his current struggles also.
I was captivated from the start to finish. I have never read a book so fast before. I flew through the first 7 chapters, and I was surprised each time I reached the end of a chapter. Before I knew it, I was at the end of one chapter and onto the next. I usually count the number of pages in a chapter to anticipate how long it might take and to be mentally prepared, but I never thought once on the chapter length with this book.
Silent Struggles is the first book to ever achieve that for me, and it was a nice change.

While I am not always a fan of fantasy worlds, this one got me hooked. The chemistry between Killian and Ayita was intense. The way he described his emotions, how he started battling with what he felt and what he thought he needed to feel. I also liked the way he described the BDSM lifestyle, the way he took care of Ayita had me wishing I had a Killian in my life. It's an amazing love story filled with action and suspense a must read.

Powerful!!! The first book to bring me to full on tears, and that saying a lot! If this book doesn't pull at your heart strings, I don't know what will.
Silent Struggles is not a light read, as Nicholas deals with past and present trauma, both physical and mental.

Oh my gosh! I started this book with pretty high expectations after loving the first one. Can I just say Alexander blew those expectations through the roof. He has such an attention to detail I could feel, taste, smell, and see everything these characters were experiencing, and believe me, some of it I didn't want to stop feeling 😉.
Honestly I could not stop reading from sentence 1. I loved getting to know Killian (who is my book boyfriend) so much more. I did not want this book to end and can't wait for the next. I don't know how Alexander does it, his imagination is full of magic and keeps your needing more!
This is not a book or a series, it's an experience!

As a female who has been through her own trauma and was scared to say something, you don't realize how truly hard it is for boys/men. This book takes you on a deep raw journey into the trauma and how difficult it is to speak up and how it affects their mental health. I was in tears reading this, and I can't even count how many times my heart was breaking. I would recommend this to anyone who has been through any sort of trauma, especially to men who've been through DV,rape, mental and physical abuse, and those who think life is better if they weren't here. Just know your voice matters, and it's okay to speak up and reach out to people and resources that are available. We need to end the stigma around boys/men that they need to suck it up, and it's not that bad. Abuse in any form, whether mental or physical is not right.
